Maxsurf Naval Architecture Software provides integrated tools for hull modelling and optimization, comprehensive stability, motions & resistance prediction, structural modelling, structural analysis, and export to vessel detailing. Maxsurf operates from a single parametric 3D model in order to ensure smooth communication and coordination across various involved in the project.

  • Use for U-M coursework for courses in which the student is enrolled and will receive a grade

  • Use by faculty to perform non-commercial research
  • Use by regular employees to perform non-commercial research
  • Use by student teams for co-curricular activities, programs, and learning experiences

NOT PERMITTED:

  • Use by students for commercial research
  • Use by faculty for commercial research
  • Use by regular employees for commercial research
  • Instructional use, using proprietary data that will not be published
  • Use for University business not related to instruction
  • Use by visiting scholars
  • Use for instructional purposes by non-UM users, such as a visiting instructor teaching a one-time course in a training room
