PuTTY is a free implementation of SSH and Telnet for Windows and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator. It is written and maintained primarily by Simon Tatham.
At U-M: a preconfigured version of PuTTY is provided for commonly accessed SSH servers at U-M (e.g., Great Lakes, ITS Login Service, Lighthouse). It is a replacement for the mFile service. See Direct Download section below.
