Interactive Heat Transfer

Interactive Heat Transfer (IHT) is a software package that facilitates the solution of heat transfer problems. IHT centers around a Workspace where model equations are assembled, a Solver that solves the set of equations and performs parametric studies, and a Browser and Graphing tool that display results.

PERMITTED:

  • Executing (running) this software remotely
  • Use for U-M coursework for courses in which the student is enrolled and will receive a grade
  • PhD thesis work
  • Use by students to perform non-commercial research to complete coursework
  • Use by faculty to perform non-commercial research
  • Use by regular employees to perform non-commercial research
  • Use by student teams for co-curricular activities, programs, and learning experiences
  • Use by visiting scholars

NOT PERMITTED:

  • Use by students for commercial research
  • Use by faculty for commercial research
  • Use by regular employees for commercial research
  • Instructional use, using proprietary data that will not be published
  • Use for University business not related to instruction
  • Use for instructional purposes by non-UM users, such as a visiting instructor teaching a one-time course in a training room
