License Information

Terms & Conditions

U-M has an academic site license for use in teaching and noncommercial research only. The software can be installed on university-owned machines (labs, faculty computers, servers, VDI environments, etc.) as well as personally-owned machines belonging to individuals associated with the university.

Access is limited to machines on campus and those located within the U.S.: ""may be accessed and used by Licensee at the Designated Site or any other location within the same country as the Designated Site." Please note that the license server requires client machines to be on a campus network or connected via VPN.

U-M's academic License may NOT be used for competitive analysis (such as benchmarking) or for any commercial purposes, including but not limited to consulting and startup ventures. The analysis work performed with the Academic Licenses must be non-proprietary work.

​This software is subject to U.S. export control and may not travel to an embargoed or otherwise restricted nation (including but not limited to Iran, Syria, Sudan, Cuba, and North Korea) and use by citizens, nationals or permanent residents of restricted countries is prohibited even in the U.S.
