Adams

Utilizing Multibody Dynamics solution technology, Adams runs nonlinear dynamics in a fraction of the time required by FEA solutions. Loads and forces computed by Adams simulations improve the accuracy of FEA by providing better assessment of how they vary throughout a full range of motion and operating environments. This software was formerly known as MSC Adams.

How to Get or Use This Software

CAEN Computer Labs

College of Engineering students can use this software at a CAEN computer lab.
  • There are 2 versions of MSC Adams available in the CAEN Labs.  One version can be used for academic research, and the other version can be used for student instruction.
  • This software may only be used on campus.

  • Instructional use, using proprietary data that will not be published
  • Use for University business not related to instruction
  • Use by visiting scholars
  • Use for instructional purposes by non-UM users, such as a visiting instructor teaching a one-time course in a training room
