  • OnCore is a comprehensive Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) designed to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of clinical research administration. OnCore integrates various components for the successful management of clinical trials, including study participant tracking, financial management, and regulatory compliance. OnCore usage requires registration with the Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTSU) to ensure streamlined operations and support for clinical research activities. Additionally, to access and utilize eReg, the electronic regulatory binder, users must first be registered with OnCore. 

  • Advarra eReg is a cloud-hosted vendor managed system for the management and storage of regulatory documentation related to human subjects research. The eReg system is a 21 CFR Part 11 compliant system that is complimentary to OnCore, another Advarra-developed application utilized at University of Michigan. Features of eReg include the ability to utilize shared documents across multiple protocols, remote monitoring capabilities, standard operating procedure (SOP) management, and other features that support the use of the electronic study binders. By utilizing eReg, study teams are equipped with a standardized application for storing essential research documents that are audit ready, have increased regulatory compliance, and optimized regulatory workflows that reduce time to activation per study. Users must first request and obtain access to OnCore in order to utilize eReg.

    Cyberduck can be used to store documents, store websites, and access files on various servers using SFTP (including AFS, MiStorage CIFS, Great Lakes, Armis 2, and Lighthouse) as well as U-M Dropbox and U-M Google Drive. It is a replacement for the mFile service.

  • MacTeX is a free redistribution of TeX Live, a typesetting environment based on TeX. While TeX Live is designed to be cross-platform (running on Unix, macOS, and Windows), MacTeX includes Mac-specific utilities and front-ends (such as TeXShop and BibDesk). It is also pre-configured to work out-of-the-box with macOS, as it provides sensible defaults for configuration options that, in TeX Live, are left up to the user to allow for its cross-platform compatibility.
